Quando è sul nord il filamento con la 0 nera si trova sullo 0 nero della scala e se spostiamo verso est il filamento percorrerà la scala fino a 50° per uscirne, ma arriverà sul 50° rosso il filamento 0 rosso e si sposta fino al 100° rosso e quando esce dalla scala appare il filamento successivo l’1 nero ed alla dei gradi vanno aggiunte le centinaia indicate dal numero.
Caso particolare quando si arriva a 360° equivalente a 0°, a quel punto ci sarà una doppia lettura in quanto il filamento 3 rosso passa sulla scala dal 60° rosso al 100°, ma in contemporanea anche il filamento 0 nero appare sulla scala nera e segna i corrispondenti valori da 0° a 40° e successivi, ed è quello da usare.
Se si segue la semplice regola di leggere tutto il nero o tutto il rosso, non ci sarà alcuna incertezza sulla scala che è da impiegare.

Particular case when 360° equivalent to 0° is reached, at which point there will be a double reading as the red filament 3 passes on the scale from 60° red to 100°, but at the same time the black filament 0 also appears on the black scale and mark the corresponding values from 0° to 40° and higher, and that’s the one to use.
If the simple rule of reading all black or all red is followed, there will be no uncertainty as to which scale is to be employed.
