Finalmente viene dato il giusto riconoscimento ad alcuni cimeli di mio zio, in custodia alla Provincia di Lucca. Mi auguro che sia solo l’inizio di un percorso comune per valorizzare la figura di Carlo del Prete, un eroe puro e semplice, scevro dagli onori, spinto dalla brama di conoscenza e amicizia tra i popoli sino a che la sua breve vita non si spezzò.
Una bella notizia per me, ma soprattutto per i lucchesi e le persone che vorranno venire a vedere.

Finally, due recognition has been given to some of my uncle’s memorabilia, in the custody of the Province of Lucca. I hope it’s just the beginning of a common path to enhance the figure of Carlo del Prete, a pure and simple hero, free from honors, driven by the desire for knowledge and friendship between peoples until his short life ended.
